Abstract
There are still very few studies examining the relationship between blood pressure (BP) and glucose levels among older adults. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between high blood pressure and glucose levels in the elderly. This study is a analitic study using a cross-sectional study of a population of 52 elderly people in Pasirhuni Village, Ciawi District. The Chi Square test was used to explore the relationship between hypertension and glucose levels. The method of data collection is done by questionnaires and examinations. Subjects were tested with the chi-square test and produced a p value of 0.003 which means that there is a relationship between hyperglycemia and systolic hypertension, and a p-value of 0.001 is produced on the relationship between hyperglycemia and diastolic hypertension. Our findings suggest that hyperglycemia is associated with systolic and diastolic hypertension.
