Abstract
Stress is a condition of tension that affects one's emotions, way of thinking, and physical condition in this case can affect nurse discipline which can result in a decrease in work discipline in nurses. This study aims to determine the effect of work stress on work discipline at RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar. The type of research used is Quantitative Research with Cross Sectional Study Design. This research was conducted with a sample of 115 respondents. Quantitative analysis in this study will use univariate test and bivariate test using chi-square test. Based on the results of univariate and bivariate analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of role problem factors on nurse work discipline (p = 0.034), there is an influence of interpersonal factors on nurse work discipline (p = 0.031), there is no influence of career development on nurse work discipline (p = 0.403), there was no influence of organizational structure on nurse work discipline (p = 0.374), there was no influence of interpersonal demands on nurse work discipline (p = 0.445), there was influence of leadership on nurse work discipline (p = 0.031). To the hospital to further improve the division or structural division of the work of nurses in the inpatient installation of Labuang Baji Hospital Makassar. Nurses at the inpatient installation of Labuang Baji Hospital Makassar should further improve or build good communication with other co-workers.
