Abstract

Anemia is a public health problem in Indonesia that can be experienced by all age groups, from toddlers, teenagers, pregnant women to the elderly. Based on Riskesdas 2013, 26.4% of children aged 5-14 years suffer from anemia and 15-24 years of age 18.4%. This means about 1 of 5 teenagers in Indonesia suffer from anemia. Observation results found problems faced by young women including low knowledge about nutrition which has an impact on the problem of anemia, and lack of awareness of the importance of consuming Fe tablets in young women. The purpose of this activity is to provide counseling and administration of Fe tablets to young women at SMPN 5 Palopo. Counseling methods in the form of lectures, discussions and distribution of brochures to young women and distributing Fe tablets to young women. The results showed that the counseling given to young women was very good, this was seen when the students' responses were asked questions, they answered correctly.
