Abstract
Stunting is a national nutrition problem that must be addressed multi-sectorally. The Indonesian government have implemented direct and indirect nutrition intervention programs to prevent stunting. To optimize government programs, it is necessary to improve health services and provide education to midwives and cadres in order to increase community empowerment in detecting stunting incidents. The method used was lecture and workshop using visual media as a stunting detection card. Participants in this activity were 16 midwives and cadres at the Parung Panjang Health Center, Bogor Regency, West Java. The activity went well which was marked by the enthusiasm of the participants during the discussion. In addition, the results of the pre-test and post-test showed that there was a significant increase in the participants' knowledge (p-value=0.0001). Visual media provided to participants during activities are expected to help participants when on duty in the field and improve participants' skills in detecting stunting events.
