Abstract
Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) are type of drinks that contains high calories and sugar but little or no nutritional value. High intake of SSBs can lead high prevalence of non-communicable disease such as obesity, diabetes melitus type II, and cardiovascular disease among adolescents. Objective: The purpose of this study was to know the proportion of packaged SSBs consumption and to prove the differences of packaged SSBs consumption based on individual characteristics. Methods: This was a cross sectional study conducted 84 respondents. The data were collected by using self-administered questionnaire online and Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate (Chi-Square) method. Results: Proportion of student with high consumption of packaged SSBs (≥3 times per day) was 55,1%. Bivariate analysis showed that there were the differences proportion of SSBs consumption based on gender (p=0,03). Conclusion: Consumption level of packaged SSBs tends to be higher in male respondents
